Plans
| Plan | Price in the US | Free trial | Per week |
|---|---|---|---|
| Yearly | $9.99 a year | 7 days | about $0.19 |
| Weekly | $0.99 a week | None | $0.99 |
Both plans include the whole app and renew automatically until you cancel. You may see other plans in the app. The paywall always shows your exact price, in your currency, before you pay.
What Matcha Pro includes
Pro is the whole app. There are no extra purchases inside it.
- Adding dishes with a photo, the place, a score, the price and a note
- Rankings by food, city, restaurant and year
- The map, city pages and your Want to try list
- Importing Google Maps lists
- Share cards and Send my places
- Shared lists with friends
- Your year in food
Exporting or deleting your data works with or without a subscription.
How the free trial works
The 7-day trial comes with the yearly plan. Apple offers it once per Apple ID: if yours has had a Matcha trial or subscription before, the paywall shows the plans without it.
You pay nothing during the 7 days. When they end, Apple charges the yearly price unless you cancel at least 24 hours before. Profile › Subscription shows the day your trial ends.
Prices outside the US
Each App Store country has its own price for Matcha, in its own currency, so yours may differ from $9.99 or $0.99. The paywall and Apple’s purchase sheet both show it before you confirm.
How to cancel
Use either of these:
- In Matcha: Profile › Subscription › Manage subscription.
- On your iPhone: Settings › your name › Subscriptions › Matcha › Cancel Subscription. Apple’s steps are in Cancel a subscription from Apple.
Deleting the app doesn’t cancel the subscription.
When a subscription ends
Matcha opens on the paywall. Your dishes, photos and lists stay on your iPhone, and when you subscribe again everything is where you left it. The ••• button at the top of the paywall still lets you export your data, delete it or contact support.
Restore your subscription on a new iPhone
Sign in with the Apple ID you subscribed with, then tap Restore at the bottom of the paywall, or go to Profile › Restore purchases. Moving your dishes and photos to the new iPhone is covered on the support page.
